the sydney trip

well, back from my sydney trip! it was indeed one of the most hectic trip yet still one of the romantic i would say.. i enjoyed every day of it… i wish we could stay longer..

as the airplane touched down Sydney airport, the captain spoke of assurance that we have indeed landed “Welcome to Brisbane Airport”. Everyone including me panic! and the funniest thing was all of us screamed in harmony “WHAT?!” then the captain jokingly said, “I am sorry, the captain is trying to be funny, Welcome to Sydney”.. i felt relieved.

so first night, it’s 11pm, the air is humid and i am wearing a turtle neck.. it was cold in Perth when i left. Anyhow, i reached the hotel, i was really tired and hungry.. not really something i can tolerate for longer but i waited patiently.

“I am sorry but we are fully booked for the night”, the manager said. My grumpy-self (due to fatigue and hunger) didn’t understand what he meant. I made a reservation, i got my confirmatiom of the booking and i have paid for it were all the things in my head that i am about to say.. then…

“i understand you did a reservation, but the person in your room wished to stay for another night, so with that, i will have to move you to Mercure which is just next door and tomorrow you will be transported back here to your room”

no problem with me.. as long as i have a place to sleep.

walking out and dragging my suitcase, i wished for my mum. didn’t know why but at that moment, i really wished mum was with me.

Doors opened at the Mercure and my jaw dropped.. this ain’t an ordinary hotel..

and there it was my room for the night. with the perfect view, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom, with perfect kitchen and lounge and dining area… magnificent!! it’s a five star apartment.. it was just awesome!

then the following days, it was just hectic. full on schedule on the CeBit convention. Of course i didn’t miss Starbucks! since we don’t have it in Perth,  i abused it! starbucks every single day.

Then spider man 3.. it was a lovely film…

on my last day, i went to Bondi Junction, aparently one of the largest shopping centre.. and there before me eyes Versace, Bettina Liano, Allana Hill and more.. of course all i can do was look at them..

it was a lovely trip..
